How to Set up Webhooks in Workiom

Workiom is a powerful no-code platform designed to streamline project management and enhance team collaboration. It allows users to create customized workflows, automate repetitive tasks, and manage data seamlessly. With its intuitive interface and robust features, Workiom empowers teams to boost productivity and drive success without the need for extensive technical expertise.

In this article, we’ll understand how to set up webhooks in Workiom to receive notifications on a webhook URL.

Setting Up Webhook in Workiom

1. Login to your Workion account.

2. On the homepage, click on the application in which you want to set up a webhook.

3. Then click on the “Automations” option in the sidebar.

4. Click on the “+ Automation” button.

5. Now, in the “Choose The Trigger” section, select one of the triggers: “Record Created” or “Record Updated,” based on your needs.

6. Now, select the list from the “Select List” dropdown. Choose the list from which you want to retrieve the data of the created or updated record.
   Note: If you selected the trigger as “Record Updated,” then in this step, you need to select one more dropdown: “Select Field.” The “Record Updated” trigger will only be executed when an update occurs in that specific field. Once this is done, click the “Done” button.

7. Now, select the option “Webhook” from the “Choose the Action” section.

8. Copy the Webhook URL from the trigger flyout and paste it into the URL field.

9. After that, select the Method Type as “POST” and the Request Type as “Form”.

10. Now, in the “Form Values” section, add the field values that you want to return in the trigger response. To do this, add the key of the field, then select the type as “Dynamic,” and finally, choose the value of the field from the value dropdown.

11. Click on “Save” to save the webhook.

That’s it! You have successfully added a webhook to your Workiom account.
