How to Connect Xero with OttoKit

To integrate your Xero account with the OttoKit platform, you’ll first need to create an app in the Xero Developer Center to obtain your Client ID and Client Secret. These credentials will allow you to authorize and connect OttoKit workflows with Xero actions.

Step 1: Create an App in Xero Developer Center

  • Go to the My Apps section and click New App.

  • Click Create App to proceed.
  • In the app’s Configuration section:
    – Locate and copy your Client ID.
    – Click Generate a Secret to create a Client Secret Key.
    Note: Copy and store the Client Secret securely, as it will not be shown again.

Step 2: Connect Xero with OttoKit

  • Provide a name for your workflow and click Create.
  • On the workflow flyout, select Xero from the list of apps.
  • Choose the desired trigger/action event from the dropdown.
  • Click Create New Connection.
  • Enter the following details:
    Title (for your connection)
    Client ID (from Xero)
    Client Secret (from Xero)
  • Click the Connect Xero button.

  • A prompt will appear asking for access. Click Allow Access to authorize the connection.

✅ You’re All Set!

Once the connection is successful, you can start configuring and using Xero actions within your OttoKit workflows based on your automation needs.
