Step-by-Step Guide to Setting Up Jobber Actions

Jobber’s home & commercial service software is the best way to organize your service business.

In this article, we’ll understand how to set up Jobber’s actions to connect with different events.

How to create an app and get secret tokens from the Jobber account

  1. Go to your Jobber Develop account here.
  2. Now, click on New

  1. A new tab will open — enter the required details such as App Name, Developer Name, and the Callback URL: https://api.ottokit.com/Jobber/connection

  1. Scroll down and provide a description for the app.

  1. Scroll down to the Scopes section and enable the options as shown below.

  1. Scroll down further and click Save App

  1. Once completed, your Client ID and Client Secret will be displayed — make sure to copy them.

  1. Next, log in to your OttoKit account and navigate to the workflow where you want to add the Jobber action.
  2. In the action step, select Jobber and choose the event you want to work with, then click Create New Connection.

  1. A popup will appear — enter the Client ID and Client Secret that you copied earlier.

  1. A popup will appear — enter the Client ID and Client Secret you copied earlier, then click Connect Jobber.
  2. A new popup will appear prompting you to sign up.

  1. Grant the access permissions

  1. The connection will now be successfully created.

You can now map your details and send a test request.
