Connect RD Station Marketing App to OttoKit

Before You Start

Make sure you have the following ready:

  • An active RD Station Marketing account. If you do not have one, sign up at rdstation.com.
  • Admin access to your RD Station account, since only admins can create apps in the App Store.
  • Your OttoKit account open in another browser tab so you can copy values back and forth.

Step 1: Open the RD Station App Store

  1. Log in to your RD Station Marketing account at app.rdstation.com.br.
  2. Open the RD Station App Store at appstore.rdstation.com.
  3. Click on your profile menu in the top right corner and select Publisher Area or App Publisher.
  4. If this is your first time, you will be asked to confirm your developer profile. Fill in the required details and continue.

Step 2: Create a New App

  1. Inside the Publisher Area, click Create App or New App.

  1. Fill in the app details as follows:
  • App Name: Choose any name you like, for example OttoKit Integration.
  • Product: Select a relevant product category.
  • Category: Select a relevant category, such as Automation or Integrations.
  • Application Languages: Select a relevant language.
  • Company Website: You can use ottokit.com or your own website.

  1. In the Callback URL field, paste the redirect URL from OttoKit. You can find this on the OttoKit RD Station Marketing connection screen. It will look similar to:

  1. Save the app.

Note: After creating or editing the app, RD Station may take up to one hour to propagate the changes. If you see errors during connection right after creating the app, wait a few minutes and try again.

Step 3: Get Your Client ID and Client Secret

  1. After saving, RD Station will display your app credentials.
  2. Copy the Client ID and Client Secret. Keep them somewhere safe, as the Client Secret is only fully visible once.

These two values are what OttoKit needs to connect to your RD Station account.

Step 4: Connect OttoKit to RD Station Marketing

  1. Go to your OttoKit dashboard and open Connections.
  2. Search for RD Station Marketing and click Connect.
  3. Paste your Client ID and Client Secret from Step 3 into the OttoKit fields.
  4. Click Authorize. You will be redirected to RD Station.
  5. Log in to RD Station if prompted, then confirm access for the app.
  6. Once authorized, you will be redirected back to OttoKit and the connection will be marked as active.

Step 5: Test Your Connection

To confirm everything is working:

  1. Create a simple test workflow in OttoKit.
  2. Use any RD Station Marketing trigger or action, for example Create or Update Contact.
  3. Run the workflow and check your RD Station account to confirm the data appears as expected.
