Human In The Loop

Human in the Loop is a core OttoKit feature that lets you add human approvals to any automated workflow.

When something important needs a quick review or decision, the workflow pauses and sends an email or WhatsApp message to the right person for approval.

It’s great for tasks that need human judgment, like reviewing content, checking data, or approving actions before they happen.

Think of it as a safety step that helps your automation stay smart, accurate, and reliable, without slowing things down.

How does it work?

Here’s a simple example:

Let’s say you’re using a workflow that takes text from a Google Sheet, asks OpenAI to create a summary, and then publishes that summary as a blog post on WordPress.

Without a review step, the summary would be published automatically, without anyone seeing it first.

With Human in the Loop, the workflow pauses after the AI creates the summary. You’ll get an email with the summary, where you can review and even edit it. Once you approve it, the workflow continues and publishes the post to your WordPress site.

It’s a simple way to stay in control, especially when content or decisions need a quick human check before moving forward.

That’s it! Now, whenever any new response comes inside the workflow, the approval request will be sent out to the given email address, and once it’s approved, then only it will continue further, or in case of rejection, the workflow will stop there.
