How to Disconnect OttoKit from WordPress
Ready to take your automations in a new direction? Whether you’re switching to OttoKit’s standalone platform, troubleshooting connection issues, or simply need a fresh start, disconnecting OttoKit from your WordPress site is straightforward and takes just a few clicks.
Don’t worry – disconnecting won’t delete your automations or account. You’ll still have full access to OttoKit’s powerful automation features through the main platform, giving you the flexibility to automate across multiple tools and services beyond WordPress.

Prerequisites
Before you begin, ensure that:
- You have administrator access to your WordPress dashboard
- You are currently logged into your WordPress site
- The OttoKit plugin is installed and active on your site
Disconnection Steps
- Step 1: Access Your WordPress Dashboard
Navigate to your WordPress admin area by logging into your site and accessing the dashboard. - Step 2: Locate the OttoKit Plugin
In your WordPress Dashboard, find the OttoKit plugin. This can typically be found in the main navigation menu
- Step 3: Access Your Profile Menu
Once you’re in the OttoKit interface within WordPress, look for your name or profile indicator at the top right corner of the OttoKit section.
Click on your name to open the profile/account menu.
- Step 4: Disconnect from WordPress
In the dropdown menu that appears after clicking your name, locate and click on the “Disconnect” option.
Post-Disconnection
After successfully disconnecting OttoKit from your WordPress site:
- Your OttoKit account remains active and can be accessed directly through the OttoKit platform
- Any automations that were specific to WordPress integration will be active, but any workflow that has a WordPress connection will fail.
- You can still use OttoKit’s full functionality by logging into the standalone platform
- The WordPress plugin may remain installed, but will no longer be connected to your OttoKit account
