We’ve made it even easier to join OttoKit with integrated Facebook login and sign-up options.

What’s New:

  • One-Click Access: Log in or sign up instantly using your existing Facebook credentials.
  • No Extra Passwords: Eliminate the need to remember another username and password.
  • Smooth Onboarding: Enjoy a faster and simpler entry into OttoKit with minimal setup.

This update removes barriers to entry and enhances the overall convenience for new users.

Custom API Endpoint (Available in Most Apps)

Custom API support has now been added to nearly all OttoKit apps (excluding Core and WordPress apps), providing greater flexibility for users to go beyond predefined actions.

Why It Matters:

  • Custom API Calls: While each app includes standard endpoints, external services often update or add new ones. If a required endpoint is missing in the native app, users can now define their own using the Custom API action.
  • Endless Integration Possibilities: This feature empowers developers and advanced users to create custom actions, connect with evolving APIs, and expand the platform’s capabilities.

Perfect for building advanced and tailored workflows.

Thanks for being part of the OttoKit journey. We’re committed to continuous improvement, and more exciting updates are on the way!

Build Smarter: New Layout, Cleaner UI, and Better Controls

Horizontal Builder Layout

Tired of endless scrolling in long workflows? Now you can switch to a horizontal layout that spreads steps side by side, making complex flows easier to follow and edit. It’s flexible, efficient, and perfect for wide screens.

Redesigned App Selection

Adding actions or triggers just got faster. The app panel now groups apps into clear tabs like All Apps, Premium Apps, and Connected Apps. With improved filtering and faster search, finding what you need feels instant and intuitive.

Collapsed Optional Fields

No more digging through dozens of fields. Required fields are shown first, and optional ones are neatly tucked behind a “Show Optional Fields” toggle. It’s faster, cleaner, and far less overwhelming, especially for new users.

Minimal Help Text

Flyouts now look cleaner than ever. Instead of cluttering the screen, help text lives in a tooltip behind a dotted label. Click when you need help, skip it when you don’t. It’s the same guidance, just smarter delivery.

Dashboard Improvements

We’ve stripped away distractions and put AI automation front and center. The new layout removes unused widgets and brings the AI Workflow Builder to the top, so you can build faster, discover recipes quicker, and start with less friction.

WordPress Access Control

Control who sees OttoKit inside WordPress. Now you can grant or restrict access based on user roles or specific users, ideal for agencies, client projects, or membership sites. Admins always stay in control by default.

Fixes & Enhancements

Fixes:

  • WordPress permalink warning now appears during setup and for existing users
  • WP connection limit message now correctly reflects user’s plan

Improvements:

  • Arrays in action responses are now properly formatted
  • Warning icon added to incomplete actions for better visibility

OttoKit MCP Server – Bridge between AI Tools and External Apps

What is MCP?

MCP is a standard protocol. It equips your AI with a list of apps and actions that you choose, such as sending a direct message in Slack or drafting an email in Gmail, and allows it to call those tools whenever needed.

Key features of OttoKit MCP include:

  • Nearly 1,000 app connections: Connect your AI to thousands of apps in our library without needing to build or maintain the integrations yourself.
  • Code-free setup: No technical knowledge required. Easily connect OttoKit MCP to Claude, Cursor, and OpenAI Playground within minutes. No coding needed. You can then perform actions using simple, natural language.
  • AI suggestions: Skip manually entering all field details. OttoKit’s AI can suggest values for fields to help speed up the action setup process.
  • On/off toggles: Temporarily disable an action in your MCP page without deleting it. This allows you to keep all the pre-configured settings and enable it again later.
  • Built-in security: OttoKit MCP endpoints include secure authentication, encryption, and rate limiting to ensure protection against abuse.

Real-World Use Cases:

Here are a few examples of what your AI can do with OttoKit MCP:

  • Find, add, or update specific rows inside your Google Sheets.
  • Manage a BuddyBoss community by instructing AI to write and send messages reminding members about upcoming events.
  • Create a calendar event and have your AI send an email invitation with the meeting details.
